Ensure power is turned on by checking the power indicator light is green.
Ensure that all cables are firmly in place from the computer to the modem.
To ensure you are receiving maximum signal strength to your modem, change the position of the modem until the signal light is amber or green.
The same applies for LCD modem but instead of light indicators, the display centre screen will show an increase in bar status as signal improves in both the Q & S status.
Where as if the modem are not receiving a signal the indicator on a LED modem would blink Red in contrast the LCD display screen would show searching.
